Hi Lee,
Thank you for posting to the Forum! See my answers below. We can discuss and answer any other questions you may have in our next committee meeting.
1. We provide consistent email communication in a variety of different ways. We send out a variety of different emails and newsletters:
-
- NAPEO E-news: a weekly roundup of industry news and updates about NAPEO programs and services.
- Government Affairs Roundup: includes updates about state and federal government affairs efforts.
- Conferences and virtual events: emails regarding upcoming events.
- The above are to just name a few of our main emails.
- We also post on our LinkedIn and Facebook pages a couple of times a week, including Membership Mondays and Testimonials Tuesdays. I encourage you to check those pages out!
2. We have offered virtual happy hours occasionally, most recently we offered "Cocktails with Casey".
3. With member recognition, we provide shout-outs on social media and in E-news. We can continue to think of ways to recognize our members.
4. We are considering some more programming around professional development. We also offer NAPEO Connect, a way to sign up and connect with a fellow member.
5. I would read through our PEO Insider for articles about the trends. For videos or infographics, I would review our materials on Marketing Your PEO.
6. Our Membership Orientation page provides a great overview of the membership benefits and how to engage in the membership. Our benefits align with the mission to grow, promote, and support the PEO industry.
Thank you for your ideas and I look forward to continuing to grow our member engagement.

I Joined this group to help with the membership of Napeo. I wanted to share some of my thoughts on how to keep the current members engaged with NAPEO.
- Consistent Communication. Newsletters and Social Media come to mind first along with meaningful Emails.
- Events such as webinars and Social events, we live in a virtual world, why not virtual happy hour. We should ask members what they want.
- Member recognition, such as awards or accomplishments from member businesses, also recognizing members who are active with NAPEO.
- Professional development, this could be training to help members grow skills, or Mentor Programs to get experienced members to help up and comers.
- Engaging content, such as podcasts, articles, videos or infographics to help people see trends.
- Clear Value Proposition so members can clearly see the value of being a member such as what are the benefits of being a member and how can they take advantage of them.
This is just a start, please respond with your ideas and how we can drive Member engagement, then when we meet we can review some of the ideas. In my world we help employers get employees engaged, lets apply some similar ideas to get Members of NAPEO engaged.
